Top Omega Pretending To Be Good Again Chapter 2

 Chapter 2: Rose Pheromones

Due to the continuous snowstorms in recent days, there were few pedestrians on the road.

The outdoor temperature had dropped to below minus thirty degrees, and the biting cold wind howled, causing the bare branches to tremble uncontrollably.

"Major general, your clothes are too thin. Quickly put on the clothes from the bag," the deputy general caught up with Gu Jun's pace, taking three steps for every two, and pointed at the bag Gu Jun was holding. His voice trembled slightly due to the cold.

"Starting tomorrow, we'll include cold resistance training," Gu Jun's voice remained calm, showing no fluctuation in tone.

The deputy general was left speechless. Despite serving by Gu Jun's side for so many years, he still couldn't comprehend why the major, who had a body temperature of thirty-six degrees, could utter such "icy" words.

Without exaggeration, cold resistance training was definitely one of the training sessions that many soldiers least wanted to remember. Perhaps only Gu Jun didn't mind.

Over the years, Major Gu had consistently topped the charts with his training scores from more than a decade ago, unbreakable by anyone else.

The deputy general couldn't help but think that the major was truly extraordinary.

The two of them boarded the mecha.

Gu Jun sat directly in the back row, placing the bag beside him. He instructed the deputy general to activate the mecha and remained silent afterward.

The dim twilight concealed the fatigue on his face. He leaned back gently, closed his eyes, and rested.

The mecha landed in the courtyard of the Gu family mansion. Gu Jun declined the deputy general's request to temporarily stay and take care of him, striding into the house with his long legs.

He had always enjoyed solitude and had lived alone for over a decade. Besides, he didn't feel the need to be taken care of for this injury. Only the glandular injury posed some trouble—according to the diagnosis earlier, his glandular trauma could potentially cause disturbances in pheromone production, including but not limited to heightened sensitivity periods.

As an S-class Alpha, pheromone disturbances were indeed troublesome.

Moreover, whenever he released pheromones...

After taking a shower, Gu Jun looked at his glands in the mirror, then attempted to release a small amount of pheromones.

However, as he released the pheromones, the pain in his glands intensified, piercing through him.

Gu Jun persisted for a few seconds but couldn't help but lean against the washbasin, gasping for breath.

Cold sweat trickled down his temples, and the reflection in the mirror showed a pale complexion, with even his lips appearing lighter.

The pain was unbearable.

The pain was even worse than enduring consecutive nerve attacks without anesthesia.

As a major in the Luminae Galaxy, he was destined for the battlefield. Both his mental strength and pheromones were crucial.

And now...

Gu Jun leaned against the washbasin, motionless, with a deep gaze.

After a while, he furrowed his brows and removed his shirt, which had become damp with cold sweat, throwing it into the laundry basket. He walked back to his bedroom shirtless.

It was a sleepless night, at least for Gu Jun.

The pain on his back burned and seared, but the glandular issue also bothered him.

In recent years, interstellar conflicts had been ongoing, and although the enemy had withdrawn for now, the duration of this peace remained uncertain. In his current state, how could he go to the battlefield? He had to recover as soon as possible.

Perhaps due to the medication, Gu Jun felt dryness in his mouth. He sat up, supporting his body, and got out of bed. He walked to the living room and poured himself a glass of water.

The night had grown late, so Gu Jun only turned on the wall lamp.

In the silent night, the warm yellow light emanated from the wall lamp. Gu Jun finished the water in his glass and then sat lazily on the sofa, feeling utterly bored.

Gu Jun sat quietly for a while before absentmindedly picking up the bag that had been placed on the table when he entered.

The packaging of this clothing brand was well done, as not a single snowflake had made its way into the bag despite the blizzard outside.

Gu Jun opened the packaging.

Inside were a long black down jacket and a loose-fitting hoodie. Judging by the style, they were likely the latest offerings from the brand's high-end line. Even their basic line of clothing was not cheap, let alone the latest items from the high-end collection.

This fan of his is quite generous. And from what Su Bei said, referring to this fan as "that child," Gu Jun deduced that the fan was probably young.

In addition to the clothes, there was a card at the bottom of the bag.

Gu Jun unfolded the card, detecting a faint woody rose fragrance. He felt a slight warmth in the gland at the back of his neck. Glancing at the card, he saw eight words written on it: "I love my life, only at this moment."

The handwriting was exquisite, with strokes as sharp as iron and hooks as silver. It was quite beautiful.

Gu Jun felt a slight stir in his heart, unsure if this was a new advertising slogan from the brand or...

A sentence written by a fan for him.

Gu Jun inexplicably took the card back to his bedroom.

Strangely enough, after returning to the bedroom, Gu Jun slept soundly.
